These various shapes can strengthen different types of players in their qualities. Do you need a racket that supports your controlling game? Or do you need a padel racket that gives you extra power? Padelstore has many different padel racket brands so there is the right choice for everyone! We have a wide range of Babolat padel rackets, Dunlop padel rackets and Adidas padel rackets. Type of padel rackets

Padel rackets come in all kinds of weights, brands, types and materials. An ideal weight of a padel racket does not exist, as it depends on your level and physical condition. In general, the heavier you are, the heavier your padel racket should be. A lighter racket is easier to use while a heavier racket can provide you with more power. There are all guidelines for an ideal racket weight but in the end it is all about you feeling comfortable with your racket and only you can be the judge of that.

The outside of the padel racket, aka the profile or blade, provides stability and resistance. In most rackets, this profile consists of layers of fiberglass, graphite or carbon. Typically, the profile of a padel racket has a diameter of 38mm. The inside, also known as core, of a padel racket nowadays can consist of many different types of materials. The base usually consists of EVA rubber that is compounded with material that varies between hard and soft features. Rackets with EVA rubber that are a bit harder create more vibration from the racket when hitting the ball. Softer rackets that are characterized by foam in the core absorb these vibrations which also reduces your risk of injury. With soft padel rackets you will have more control, whereas with hard padel rackets you can hit the ball with more force. A disadvantage of a softer padel racket is that it does not last as long as a harder padel racket.

How long does a padel racket last?

If we are to believe the factories, a padel racket lasts about 1-2 years until it needs replacement. In reality, the lifespan depends on several factors. An important factor for the lifespan is the frequency with which you play padel. If you just play a few hours a week, those 1-2 years could be realistic. However, even with normal use, you can hit the fences or glass walls with your racket. In the case of fanatic players who are often on the court, the chances of premature racket damage are also higher.

Playing frequently in adverse weather conditions also does not benefit the longevity of a padel racket. This applies to both excessive heat and cold. The materials that constitute the racket do not react well to this and these temperatures can cause the materials to change in hardness and softness or a they can cause crack. This is often not even visible to the naked eye but can affect the playing performance of the racket. This does not mean you can't play in these weather conditions, but it is advisable to take care of protecting your racket. Do not leave your racket in damp, hot and cold places. Purchase a case or special padel bag to store your padel racket.

As a final important tip, we advise you to never throw your padel racket if it is not going well. We understand how frustrating losing can be but throwing your racket is disastrous for its longevity.
