Shape of Padel Racket
Padel rackets come in different shapes. Depending on your level and playing style, you can determine which racket shape is suitable for you. The sweet spot for each shape of padel racket is located at a different point. The sweet spot is the most effective spot to hit a ball. The point of contact largely determines the amount of power you give to the ball! It is therefore important to carefully consider which racket shape suits you best.
Round-shaped racket
In general, round-shaped rackets are often recommended for beginning players. This is because the balance is low in the racket, which gives you more control, and it's also easier to return the ball because the striking surface is larger. The desired striking surface of a padel racket is also known as the "sweet spot." Because this is typically larger in a round-shaped racket, you can easily maintain control and play precise, well-placed shots. If you're looking for a padel racket to hit really hard balls, it may be advisable to choose a diamond-shaped, teardrop-shaped, or hybrid-shaped racket. However, there are also plenty of round-shaped rackets that you can hit hard balls with, thanks to the advanced materials that are used today. Round-shaped padel rackets are not only used by beginners, there are plenty of top players who feel more comfortable with this racket. Especially players who use a strong defensive playing style and let the opponent make mistakes.
